If you’re in the market for a new washing machine you might have stumbled across a brand called Logik. It can be difficult to tell whether or not a washing machine is both of good quality and at a good price point.

Before we go any further it’s probably a good idea to say that we think that Logik washing machines are great for consumers that are on a budget and don’t mind having a small drum capacity and minimal wash cycle features.
What Logik washing machines are good for
Because Logik washing machines are a budget appliance that doesn’t mean that they don’t have their positives.
If you’re in need of a washing machine and don’t want to break the bank, then a Logik washer might be for you.
Here are some things that are great about Logik washing machines:
- They are usually the cheapest washing machine on the market, and you can sometimes even pick one up for under £200 during a sale period
- If you need an integrated machine, then they usually start at around £300 which is a bargain for an integrated appliance
- They are only usually available in white, but they do look very modern and stylish in a kitchen
- Most machines are equipped with a quick wash setting – This is a great time saver for when you need to freshen up your clothes
- The digital displays on Logik washing machines are straightforward and simple to use – You don’t have to mess around trying to wash your clothes
All of the Logik washing machines that are on the market today have a drain pump housing at the front of the machine with a filter that you can access. This is great if your washing machine gets blocked and you want to repair it yourself and save money on repairs.
Problems with Logik washing machines
As Logik washing machines are a budget appliance they do have some shortcomings. This is mostly due to the cheaper parts that you would find in comparison to a more expensive manufacturer like Bosch.
Some things to know about Logik washers before you get one:
- They are fitted with sealed drums meaning that the bearings can’t be replaced – This makes them uneconomical to repair when the bearings fail meaning you will likely need a new machine
- The drum capacity on most models is really small making them a poor washing machine for large families who do a lot of washing
- The overall build quality is quite cheap, so they are prone to breaking down more often than most machines
- They typically have a really bad energy efficiency rating which means they use more electricity when washing your clothing
- Logik machines typically have a carbon brush powered motor meaning that the brushes will eventually need to be replaced – This is another added future repair cost that you should consider
It is worth saying that most of these problems are typical with budget appliances and you will find it difficult to find a machine at the same price point that doesn’t have any of these problems.
If you’re looking for a washing machine that’s going to last you 10+ years then it’s better to invest in a higher quality machine that is capable of carrying out large wash loads for a long period of time.
Where are Logik washing machines made?
Logik washing machines are mostly made by Vestel which is a Turkish company that provides white goods to retailers and manufacturers so that they can put their own brand on them.
The British appliance retailer Currys has been selling their own label brand called Logik for over 10 years and they are one of the cheapest washing machines on the market today.
Most Logik washing machines are made in Turkey and then shipped to the UK to be retailed by Currys. Sometimes Logik washing machines might be produced in China or by another manufacturer called Daewoo.
Although Vestel is a Turkish washing machine manufacturer they are not to be confused with Beko who also make budget appliances. Beko washing machines are usually at a similar price point but it’s arguable they are of better quality.
How to reset a Logik washing machine
Some washing machines have a reset program built into the functionality of the control board. Logik washing machines are different and rely on a hard reset.
If you want to reset your Logik washing machines here’s how you can do it:
- Make sure that the control knob is switched to the off position which is usually at the top of the dial
- Unplug the washing machine from the electrical supply and then wait for 10 minutes after the display has gone off to make sure that the capacitors on the control board have discharged – This makes sure that any cycle settings or error codes are forgotten by the control module
- Plug your machine back in and turn the dial to a short cycle so that you can test the machine

Logik washing machines are well suited for people that don’t do a lot of washing and don’t need a large sized drum capacity. They are limited in features, but the price usually reflects this.
If you have a large family or find that you use your washing machine quite often then you might want to look into some other manufacturers that offer larger washing machine drums or added features that can help with lots of washing.
Logik washing machines have short warranties because they are more of a replace rather than repair type of appliance. The spare parts are limited for older machines and they often break down once they go past a certain age.
It’s also a big negative that you can’t replace the bearing in the machine because a drum replacement is usually not viable due to the cost of the drum or the availability.
The other main problem is that the control boards aren’t readily available meaning that if the control board has a fault, then the machine is usually unrepairable.
If you are someone who lives alone and is looking for a cheap appliance to last them for at least a couple of years, then Logik washing machines are great.
